Making
a Macintosh projector on Windows D11
You will need: Macintosh Buddy API, version 4; your registration code; the Xtra Registration Utility for version 4.
Register the Buddy API Xtra.cpio file using the Registration Utility. This can be done on either Windows or Macintosh. Or you can leave the xtra unregistered and use baRegister in your startMovie handler.
Place the Buddy API Xtra.cpio file into the Director 11\Configuration\Cross Platform Resources\Macintosh\Xtras folder.
Then you need to change the xtrainfo.txt file in the Director 11\Configuration folder. Add this line to the end of the file.

You need to ensure that the names in the file match exactly the names of the xtras, if you have renamed then, use the renamed file names. If you have placed the Windows xtra inside a folder in the xtras folder, then you must make sure that the Macintosh xtra is in a folder of the same name.
Select the Modify->Movie->Xtras menu and add Buddy API Xtra.x32 to the list of xtras to be embedded in the movie.

Place the budapi.x32 file into the Director MX2004:Configuration:Cross Platform Resources:Windows:Xtras folder.
Then you need to change the xtrainfo.txt file in the Director MX 2004:Configuration folder. Add this line to the end of the file.
